The stupidly simple named Pumpkin Man is one of those miscellaneous characters that I have no really use, beyond Halloween art and scant appearances in my stories. Basically he's a rather evil, oversized monster man created through black magic from a transformed pumpkin patch. In addition to the vine-tentacles and sharp scythe-like left appendage, he can breath ghostly, but no-less deadly flames from his various holes. And being a demonic fruit, I gather he has exhilarated healing abilities too.
The background is deliberately the same from my Meet The Creepy Angels piece, as I had plans to do further entries for Halloween 2009, where the lovely title monster ladies where to do battle with the Pumpkin Man in classic anime fashion. And when I refer to classic anime fashion, I of course mean the multiple plant tentacles.
Those were dropped however due to time and to a lesser extent, the visual content, which I would have kept tame, but suggestive non-the-less. Maybe I'll do the "Creepy Angels VS Pumpkin Man" stuff for next year, or upon a paying commission.
Because I thought I did an awesome job on it myself, which itself is awesome, because I often have doubts with my own works, which as we all know, is the complete opposite of awesome. But no, its awesome you should say that and I thank you for the awesome comment, my awesome visitor!
No, again it’s my fault for jumping the gun and attacking you like that, but the comparison is now appreciated, as it’s not everyday my monsters are compared to popular anime characters and favorably so.
Hope I haven’t alienated you from viewing my other works in the future though?
