Sophie the Stinger

A soldier for the space-dwelling warlord dubbed The Kaiser, this wasp-type femme fatal has taken the name of Sophie the Stinger for herself, since her true alien name can't be said in any normal human language.

Buzz, buzz, buzz, basically.

Sophie is a master fencer with her organic stingers doubling as swords, which in addition to her surprisingly strong wings and related flight, makes her incredibly agile in deadly combat. When not in use, her translucent wings relax as a fashionable cape - something that compliments her posh persona.

Quite stylish and sophisticated in her life style, Sophie is inspired by her nostalgic memories living secretly on Earth during the Rolling Twenties, and as an open supporter and ally of the The Grand Damein Empire.

Even her living quarters onboard the Kaiser's base of operations, The Plesiotress, is filled with antique furniture from the aforementioned Earth era.

And having such fancy tastes, not to mentioned the fact that she's an oversized alien wasp, Sophie has an addictive love for wine and alcohol, which usually gets the better of her during her rest periods between battles.

Unfortunately, Sophie also suffers a bit from an inferiority complex. Despite her own impressive skills, she is not as powerful as some of her fellow alien warriors, including the general she directly answers to, the atomic zombie known as Dokuver, the Silver Knight of Horror.

Thankfully, Sophie's confidence is kept stable, thanks to her close friendship (in not plutonic love) with another, more pleasant Kaiser general, the supposedly human sorcerer named Thorn, of whom she first met in the 1920's.

Despite being an insectoid who can only speak in relatively complex buzzing, Sophie The Stinger can still communicate and understand her fellow Plesiotress warriors, as they do to her...

...Not unlike the multilingual characters of those "Star" movies, about them "Wars"

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

Basic character reference done for (AKA Jesse) and a comic project that we're both TRYING to get off the ground.

The series in question is a darker take on the Super Sentai / Power Rangers style hero teams. And with that said, yes, Sophie is a 'Quasi-Kaiju'; one who can grow to giant-size on rare occasion, not unlike the many villains from the aforementioned franchises.

Despite the showcase here, Sophie the Stinger is a small player in the overall storyline, even with her relationships to two of series' main antagonists. But it's one of my favorite designs in recent memory, and one that Jesse has definitely become a huge fan of as well.

She's both grotesque and attractive all at the same time!
